Books have been written on this topic, and the bickering and face-offs about where the "hot" one armed bandits are installed in the casino are still rampant - 60 years after the slot machines were 1st installed in the casinos.

The classic rule is that the best slot machines were put just inside the main door of the casino; so that casino fanatics walking by would be able to see actual jackpot winners ... be impressed enough to come inside ... play. Our thought is that this is definitely no longer the case.
